ITEC Entertainment @ IAAPA: Event Recap & Highlights

Our team recently attended IAAPA Expo 2019, one of the largest trade shows for the attractions industry. ITEC Entertainment has been a proud sponsor of IAAPA and its events for over 24 years. This year the expo was held at the Orange County Convention Center in our hometown of Orlando, Florida, and included numerous talks and unveilings of the latest in themed entertainment.  Check out photos from our exciting week on the show floor here

Here are a few key highlights from the event:

Connecting Talent Developers with Leaders in Themed Entertainment

We held a private event at our booth that brought together educators and influencers from the University of Florida, Orlando Economic Partnership and UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management. This event connected leaders in themed entertainment with some of the most prominent educators of Central Florida’s ever-expanding talent pool. It highlighted the growing number of non-traditional and diverse projects in themed entertainment and how to expand the talent pool to further excel in meeting the needs of the industry.

Check out the press release to learn more about the initiative.

CEO and President Bill Coan shared these thoughts: “Not only do we require more advanced skills to keep up with tremendous global demand, but we require talent that is adapting to our industry’s evolving needs beyond theme parks and attractions. IAAPA was the perfect place to discuss these topics with those committed to attracting and training aspiring professionals in our burgeoning industry.”

Lights, Camera, Action! Being Interviewed by Spectrum Bay News 9

On the second day out, Bill Coan was interviewed by Talk Show Host Allison Torres from Spectrum Bay News 9. Bill shared insights on how the themed entertainment industry is changing and the demand for ITEC’s unique approach to design and deliver innovate experiences are expanding beyond theme parks and attractions and into major urban and resort destinations within the growing market.

Sharing Details About Our Experience Design Process with Attendees

The ITEC team showcased our experience design process and explained how it works. We explained how the end-to-end methodology transforms property developments into compelling guest experiences. Our team on the show floor brought home the point that ITEC’s method incorporates the creation of  a story for each development that provides the project foundation to build the most immersive, comprehensive and iconic guest experiences for each destination. We look forward to following up with those who stopped by and helping them achieve their goals.

Overall, the 2019 IAAPA Expo event was successful. We look forward to the innovation and upgrades that ITEC and the themed entertainment industry will see and deliver over the next year. So many exciting projects to come!
