ORLANDO, Fla. (Aug 14, 2019) – ITEC Entertainment Corporation, an industry leader of worldwide entertainment solutions, announced today that the company is joining the United Nations (UN) Global Compact. The pact is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative with over 9,900 companies, 3,000 non-business signatories in over 160 countries.
Launched in 2000, the UN Global Compact is a call-to-action for organizations to align their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. It encourages companies to actively support the UN’s goals and fix issues embodied in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
“We are proud to join a community of companies and individuals dedicated to supporting corporate social responsibility and diversity,” says Bill Coan, CEO and President of ITEC Entertainment. “At ITEC, embracing diversity extends beyond our corporate environment and is authentically represented in the many culturally diverse themed entertainment projects we develop around the world. The UN Global Compact is equally important for us and our growing roster of international clients.”
The UN Global Compact provides a principle-based framework, as well as best practices, resources, and networking events, which empower companies to conduct business responsibly and for the betterment of society. By bringing together committed companies to collaborate with relevant experts and stakeholders, members can collectively strengthen advanced corporate sustainability practices.
