ITEC Technologies provided production management for the Journey to Madagascar attraction  located at Universal Studios Singapore.  ITEC was hired because this attraction required significant modifications after the original project team was unable to deliver an operating attraction.

ITEC’s redesigned attraction is comprised of multiple ride vehicles, which are boats that travel through show scenes from the movie Journey to Madagascar.  The ride system has conveyors to allow the ride vehicles to be loaded and unload at the station area.  There are additional effects conveyors in the attraction which accelerate the ride vehicles to create an exciting effect.  There are many show scenes with animated figures and extensive show sets. 

ITEC’s production management team was responsible for the management of all aspects of the renovation, including general construction, show sets, rockwork, lighting, audio, video, animation, effects, show action equipment and a new ride system.  For these activities, ITEC provided overall design direction and then provided day to day management of all vendors on the project.

ITEC production management team, in conjunction with Universal Creative and the Resorts World team, provided the overall management of the attraction rework.  The overall effort was one of the largest and most time compressed rework of an attraction in Universal’s history.
